How to Use: Camphor essential oil is generally used only as a local application during massage or as a vapour (steam tent) to treat bronchial ailments.

Common Uses: Chamomile essential oil is a mental relaxant that is beneficial in treating nervous tension, insomnia and stress. It also aids muscular aches and pains and rheumatism. It is also beneficial in treating minor wounds and burns. Roman chamomile essential oil blends well with bergamot, clary sage, frankincense, geranium, lavender, sweet marjoram, neroli, patchouli, rose and ylang ylang.
How to Use:

Common Uses: Cold/Flu Blend is particularly useful in treating cold
and flu symptoms, as well as bronchitis and laryngitis. It is also
useful in treating muscular aches, joint pain, rheumatism,
fibromyalgia, chronic fatique and lethargy.
How to Use:
IN THE BATH - add 4-6 drops to a warm relaxing bath. Vegetable
oil (15 mL) may also be added fro a truly moisturizing experience.
MASSAGE - Add 3-5 drops of cold/flu blend to a tablespoon of
carrier oil (sweet almond, grapeseed, or choose from many others)
to create a relaxing massage oil.
DIFFUSERS - Add 3-5 drops of cold/flu blend to diffuser. If using
a candle diffuser, add water to blending well to ¾ full and maintain
level at ¼ to ½. Steam Tent - Add boiling water to a large bowl
and add 6-8 drops of cold/flu blend. Create a steam tent by leaning
over the bowl and placing a towel over your head to capture
the vapours. Keep eyes closed to avoid irritation. Inhale deeply
until water cools. Continue 3-4 times a day until cold/flu symptoms
subside.
SAFETY: Avoid in early pregnancy. Not for use with
young children.

Advocado Oil – Advocado oil is extracted from the pulp of the advocado fruit. It is very moisturizing, especially for mature or dehydrated skin and promotes cell growth.

Calendula Oil – An infused oil of calendula (pot marigold) petals in sweet almond oil that is helpful for conditions such as acne, eczema and everything from bruises and spider veins to boils.

Carnauba Wax – Carnauba wax is a vegetable wax that has a hard, firm texture. It is used as a thickening agent.

Chamomile Flower Water – A by-product of the steam distillation of chamomile essential oil. It may be used as a body mist, room deodorizer or linen spray.

Citric Acid – A crystalline powder originally derived from citrus fruit which is produced by fermentation of crude sugar. When citric acid and baking soda are combined and then added to water a chemical reaction occurs which releases carbon dioxide creating a “fizz”. Citric acid may be used as a preservative or to adjust the pH of products to prevent them from being too alkaline.

Cocoa Butter – Cocoa butter is the solid fat expressed from the roasted seed of the cocoa beans that is separated during the process of making cocoa. It provides a highly protective barrier which acts as a water repellent, softening and lubricating skin.

Comfrey Powder – Comfrey root powder is a natural source of allantoin which helps to soothe, soften and heal skin.

Corn Starch – Corn starch is obtained from the milling of corn and is used as a natural and healthy alternative to talc. It absorbs moisture and soothes the skin. It may also be added to creams to facilitate an easier glide across the skin and to minimize the greasy feeling that can otherwise be left behind with oil/wax mixtures.

Emulsifying Wax – There are many different products that can be classed as an emulsifying wax. We use lanette wax which is a vegetable derivative of coconut. It makes oils and fats water-soluble by being able to attach to both, thus binding the two. This process is called emulsification and is essential in creating creams and lotions.

Epsom Salt – A therapeutic ingredient in many bath products which aids in soothing aching muscles.

Fractionated Coconut Oil – A clear, thin liquid oil that is derived from the coconut plant. It is non-greasy, rapidly absorbs into the skin and does not go rancid. It is used extensively as a carrier oil in massage blends.

Grapefruit Seed Extract – Grapefruit seed extract is used as a natural preservative with antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties. It is high in anti-oxidants which diminish the sun's damaging effects and lessens free radical damage.

Grape Seed Oil – Grape seeds yield a light, silky oil which is easily absorbed into the skin. It is a powerful antioxidant and is high in vitamin E, essential fatty acids and minerals.

Hemp Oil – This rich nutrient oil which is pressed from hemp seeds contains more naturally occurring essential fatty acids than any other plant derived oil. It also contains the natural antioxidant vitamin E.

Honey Powder – Honey powder contains honey, fructose and maltodextrin. Its cosmetic use is in dry products where honey would be used, like face masks and scrubs. Honey attracts dirt from skin pores and dead skin cells from the surface of skin and therefore is said to be a natural skin cleanser and softener.

Jojoba Oil – Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax extracted from the jojoba bean. Its structure is similar to that of human sebum, making it easily absorbed. It is an excellent lubricant, leaving skin soft, supple and smooth. It shows significant UV protection properties.

Kaolin- Kaolin is a natural clay mineral (silicate of aluminum) which is used in face powder and clay masks for its ability to absorb unwanted oils and other impurities from skin.

Lemongrass Flower Water – Lemongrass flower water is the by-product of the steam distillation of lemongrass essential oil. It may be used as a body mist, room deodorizer or linen spray.

Macadamia Oil – Macadamia nut oil is extracted from the macadamia nut. This oil contains palmitoleic acid (monounsaturated fatty acid) which is not found in any other oil, but is found in sebum. Palmitoleic acid in sebum diminishes as we age and therefore is beneficial in skin care products. Macadamia oil is hypo allergenic, non pore clogging and acts as a protective barrier against moisture loss.

Mango Butter – A soft, solid exotic butter obtained from the seed/kernel of the fruit of the mango tree. It is high is unsaponifiables and as a result displays regenerative activity. It is similar in nature to shea butter.

Milk Powder - Whole dry milk is a natural emollient which is rich in vitamins and minerals. It soothes and moisturizes skin, helping to relieve dryness.

Shea Butter - Shea nut butter is made from the fruit kernels of the shea nut tree and is a fabulous skin softening emollient due to its unique fatty acid characteristics. It is extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin.

Sunflower Oil – Sunflower oil is a light oil which contains Vitamins A, C, D and E. It is also high in essential fatty acids which makes it useful in moisturizing, regenerating and conditioning skin cells.

Vitamin E – Tocopherol is obtained by vacuum distillation of edible vegetable oils. It is a natural antioxidant (preservative) for skin care and cosmetic products. It promotes soft and supple skin and is helpful in reducing scars and promoting healing.

Wheat Germ Oil – Cold-pressed, unrefined wheat germ oil has the highest vitamin E content of any vegetable or nut oil. It is also rich in vitamins A and D, lecithin, proteins and unsaturated fatty acids, making it highly skin compatible and nourishing. When added to skin care and cosmetic products, it extends the shelf life and helps to prevent moisture loss.
