Frequently Asked Questions

What is massage?
Massage is "hands on therapy". A relaxation massage is the stroking of skin and kneading of muscles using oil to lubricate the skin. The word massage come from the Greek word "masso" to touch.

What are the benefits of massage?
Stress relief....

Muscle aches and pains....when a muscle is stressed, cirulation is reduced and both oxyen and nutriens are blocked. Massage is a terrific way to loosen up muscles, increase the circulation and bring oxyen and nutrients back to the area.

Anti-aging Tool....Massage can help keep your skin nice and firm. The idea is that kneading muscle tissue improves blood circulation, which in turn delievers oxygen and nutrients to the treated area. As a result collagen fibres contained in the skin are more likely to retain their elasticity.

What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy means "treatment using scents", pleasant smelling botanical oils such as rose, lemon, lavender and peppermint are massaged into the skin, inhaled directly or diffused to scent an entire room. Aromatherapy is used for the relief of pain, care for the skin, alleviate tension and fatigue and invigorate the entire body. Essential oils can affect the mood, alleviate fatigue, reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.

Am I a Registered Massage Therapist?
No, I am not a registered massage therapist. I have taken courses and been tested; my studies have been in the field of Relaxation Massage.
